This week we spent three days in the town of Republic, God having sent us to establish His Kingdom in another town. I was amazed as people stepped out of their comfort zones. As intercessors transformed into evangelists, seeking to offer someone an encounter with Jesus who had never met Him before.
I saw people become what God intended for them to be, as they lived in their own weakness to see God’s strength made manifest. As our lead intercessor and worship leader were invited into the house of a door they had knocked on to pray for a blind woman, I couldn’t help but laugh! Especially the next day when she reported a drastic improvement in her sight!!! Thank you Jesus for giving us courage to do what we always dreamed of doing, and never thought we could accomplish!
I know that not everyone excels in “outreach” settings, but I love watching people overcome their fear to become more than conquerors in Christ Jesus! Once fear has been stripped away through overcoming, individuals are freed to find their true calling and purpose that Jesus created them to do. There are a lot more people who want to be someone’s Jesus encounter after the weekend than there were before, that’s for sure!
The atmosphere of a town was changed people encountered the love, goodness, and grace of God, and all of us fell deeper in love with our Beautiful Jesus as we celebrated stepping more fully into our destiny. Amazing what a little fear will keep you from! Thank you, Lord, for breaking fear from our lives to live in freedom!!!
